Kindergarten

At St. Jane School, we believe that every child is a gift from God, and we are committed to fostering a love of learning in a nurturing, faith-filled environment. Our Kindergarten program is designed to provide a solid foundation for academic excellence, spiritual growth, and personal development. Guided by our Catholic values, we prepare young learners for success
in all aspects of life.

A Faith-Based Learning Journey

In our Kindergarten, we integrate Catholic teachings throughout our curriculum, nurturing children’s spiritual development alongside their academic growth. Through daily prayer, weekly Mass, and religious instruction, our students learn about God’s love, the importance of kindness, and the value of community. Our teachers model Christ-like behavior, inspiring our students to reflect His love in their actions and interactions.

Comprehensive Curriculum

Our Kindergarten curriculum is carefully crafted to build foundational skills in key areas of learning, including:

  • Literacy: We focus on developing early reading and writing skills through phonics, literature, listening, and hands-on activities that enhance skills.
  • Mathematics: Our students explore early math concepts such as counting, number recognition, shapes, patterns, and basic operations in a hands-on, engaging manner.
  • Science & Social Studies: We introduce basic scientific inquiry and social studies concepts, fostering curiosity and exploration about the world around them.
  • Art, STREAM, Library, Spanish and Music: These subjects help nurture creativity, allowing children to express themselves through painting, drawing, singing, and rhythm activities.
  • Physical Education: Movement and exercise are an essential part of the curriculum, supporting physical health and helping children develop motor skills.

Small Class Sizes and Personalized Attention

We pride ourselves on maintaining small class sizes, ensuring that each child receives individualized attention. Our experienced, dedicated teachers work closely with students to meet their unique needs, provide personalized support, and encourage them to achieve their fullest potential.

Enriching Experiences

At St. Jane School, we believe in fostering a love of learning both in school and beyond the classroom.  Kindergarten students enjoy a variety of enriching experiences, such as:

  • Attending the Allentown Symphony
  • Visiting the farm and pumpkin patch
  • Field Trip to the Lehigh Valley Zoo
  • Play-centered activities to support academic, social, and spiritual growth for each child.

Preparing for the Future

Our Kindergarten program is designed to prepare students for a seamless transition to first grade and beyond, with a strong foundation in both academics and faith. By instilling a love for learning, a commitment to service, and a deep sense of compassion, we are helping our students develop into the leaders of tomorrow, guided by their Catholic faith.

Join us in celebrating the joy of learning at St. Jane School, where academic excellence and Catholic values go hand in hand to form a strong and compassionate foundation for your child’s future.
