Grades 3-4-5

At St. Jane Frances de Chantal School, our Grades 3, 4, and 5 programs are designed to build on foundational skills while fostering independence, critical thinking, and a strong moral compass through Catholic values. Our rigorous curriculum, developed under the guidelines of the Diocese of Allentown, ensures a challenging and rewarding academic experience for every student.

With small class sizes, certified educators, and a nurturing environment, we provide personalized attention to help each child thrive. Students in these grades transition from learning to read to reading to learn, exploring a variety of texts that enhance comprehension and analytical skills.

Our math curriculum emphasizes mastery of multiplication and division, fractions, and decimals, preparing students for advanced problem-solving. We also take pride in teaching and promoting the use of cursive handwriting, recognizing its importance in fostering fine motor skills and self-expression.

Through faith-filled lessons and high academic standards, St. Jane School inspires students to achieve their best while growing in character and compassion.

"This year in social studies, I learned a lot about Native Americans, and it was so interesting! The first region I studied was the Northwest. One cool thing about the Northwest region is that the people there had no trouble finding food. Next, I learned about the Southwest region, where the people built houses called “Pueblos.” Then I learned about the Plains region. Something interesting about the Plains Indians is that before horses were brought to the Americas by Europeans, they hunted on foot. Finally, I studied the Eastern Woodlands region. One cool fact about the Eastern Woodlands is that it was divided into two main language groups: the Algonquians and the Iroquois. Learning about Native Americans has been one of the most interesting things I’ve done in class this year!"
